I started this site primarily to get in touch with my audience and hear what they have to say about me. I love the discussion, the affirmation of faith that I have in my work, and most importantly, the dissent. Hundreds of mails come to me every day. I admit I speed read them and only respond to about 1 per cent. Forgive me, but that’s all I can do. I love the mails that come to me, from people who say that they love me very much. I also love the mails that tell me what I’m doing wrong and where I need to improve. (Yes, thank you everybody on the tips about dancing.) Stars are either built by the industry with the weight of institutional marketing. Others are made by their audiences. I haven’t been the industry’s fortunate son and I am glad that that my audiences have helped me get to where I am today. I am well aware of the considerable debt I owe to my audience. And I try my best to give my all to every performance. Whenever possible, I try to stay in touch with my audience, because they are my greatest gift. My managers just informed me that Taxi 9211 is an unqualified hit. We have opened in 320 cities and the movie is running to packed houses around the world. I want to thank you, my audience for giving me the kind of support of which I have never even dared to dream. And I promise to entertain you with the best performances I can deliver in the future.
