The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of travel and work and shaking hands. In the space of 5 weeks, two of my movies, have been launched and I have been around the world promoting them. I will be off again soon to promote Salaam-e-Ishq.

Two other exciting things have happened. My calendar was released, the images of which will be here soon.

The John Abraham Jeans by Wrangler has been launched. It has been received very well around the country. Essentially, this is a limited edition line and as limited editions go, they were sold out with puzzling speed. I have to thank everybody who whisked them off the racks from every outlet in the country.

We were a little diffident about the number of outlets we should have around the country, but after the initial responses, we’ve found it worth our while to market it in more cities and in more outlets in every city.

The past four months have been tremendously stressful. I didn’t realize the amount of time and energy that goes into the design and manufacture of a clothing line, and I have a renewed respect for those who do this for a living. I realize I haven’t paid much attention to the site for a while and I can only apologize sincerely for this. I promise to take a more organized interest in the site from this point on.

In the midst of all this, my birthday just slipped by. Over the years, it has become progressively less important for me to celebrate it. But when I saw the number of birthday wishes, cards, e-mails and digital presentations I had received, I realized something that I hadn’t thought of before. My birthday means a lot more to a lot of people, and that is a humbling thought. There’s a world out there that is a lot larger than I me.

I would like to thank everybody for their birthday wishes. Especially, I must thank the members of my site who have made the digital presentations. They are really lovely, and I can see how much time, effort and love has gone into making them. Thank you for making this day special for me.

This gets me to thinking that I should pay more attention to my well-wishers on this site and elsewhere. I wish you all a joyful Season’s Greetings and a Happy and Prosperous New Year.
