The bodylicious John Abraham is more than being just an eye-candy – the hunk devotedly works for a cause, small wonder then, that he is to be recognized as an ‘Eco Warrior’, on World Environment Day for his works with elephants.
The actor, who is actively involved with PETA, is to be given the Eco Warrior Award by the Earth Matters Foundation, a leading environmental group. Earth Matters Foundation is run by Mike Pandey, a Delhi based environmentalist and three time Green Oscar winner.
The awards would be bestowed by Vice President Hamid Ansari of India at his residence. The group will also bring forth the works of 16 such people who have worked not just in metropolis but also at the grassroots level to create awareness and contribute towards wildlife and environment.
Earlier, John Abraham along with other celebrities had taken up the cause of elephants by urging all states to ban the entry of the animals into urban areas.
Good going John, you would make a handsome Eco Warrior! Wonder what charming complements Bips has in store for you on your accomplishment. |
