On his last trip, John was very apologetic about keeping everybody waiting because he was late. This time, he more than made up for it by not just arriving samay par but also by spending four hours at the do.

Here is one man who knows how to keep a promise. Jaise ki humne pehle bataya tha, actor John Abraham had made full arrangements to ensure that this time when he comes to Delhi, he comes on time. And recently, he kept no one waiting when he flew down to judge a bikers contest. Itna hi nahi, he spent four hours at the event. Aur John ko wapas jaane ki bhi koi jaldi nahi thi! John hung on at the event till 8 pm, even when he had an 8.30 flight to catch! “I have to leave Delhi tonight as I have a shooting schedule early in the morning,” he said.

And chalte chalte, he spoke to us, on what else but bikes! So what’s the next bike on his wish list? “I want to buy a motor racing bike,” he said. But the passionate biker is a true sportsman too! “Be it biking, football or cricket, I’m always there to promote any kind of sport. It would be nice to see the youth take interest in sports and help Indian sports go international,” he said.

So, is he going to South Africa to watch his cricketer
dost Mahi (Dhoni) in action? “My shooting schedules are keeping me busy and I don’t think I’ll be able to go and watch any of the matches. Mahi is a dear friend and has proved to be a good captain for the Indian cricket team. I am proud of Mahi and will support his team but the Mumbaikar in me will root for the Mumbai Indians definitely. I hope they win the trophy,” John said.

John also wants everybody to cast their votes during this election. “I will definitely vote and also encourage others to do so,” he said. And how about contesting? “I’m aware of the political scenario in the country, but no, politics is not for me,” he signed off.
